The original model was extensively resculpted. Brio received an entirely new fish body, with every fin and every scale sculpted individually by hand. The forms and silhouette were inspired by salmonid fish, emphasizing streamlined movement and natural flow.
The paintwork explores depth, iridescence, and shifting color. Layers of deep blues, violets, magentas, and greens are enriched with pearlescent pigments, allowing the surface to respond dynamically to light. The chromatic range becomes especially visible in hand, where the subtle transitions and reflective qualities reveal their full complexity.
As a water being, the sculpture is finished in ultra-gloss varnish, creating a rich, wet effect that enhances both color saturation and surface texture.
