This one-of-a-kind piece is my very first work in the realm of miniature dioramas – a detailed and expressive composition that fits right in the palm of your hand.
At the center of the scene is a highly dynamic jumper in Stablemate scale (1:32) by Chronos Miniatures. The model has been customized with a completely new sculpted mane and flying tail, designed to capture the energy and motion of a mid-air leap.
The coat is painted in my signature black-and-white pinto color scheme using the hair-by-hair technique. Every patch features subtle variations of beige, creamy pink, and soft tones for a rich and realistic fur texture. The black areas are brought to life with delicate bluish-silver hues, and the bright icy blue eyes add a striking, lifelike presence.
The diorama base features the original rustic fence, mounted on a custom wood platform and decorated with miniature grasses, bushes, fallen autumn leaves, pebbles, and highly detailed textured mud. The muddy hooves are painted to reflect realistic interaction with the damp forest floor, enhancing the sense of movement and immersion.
This piece tells the story of a fleeting moment – a spirited forest escape frozen in time.
