Sweetly sleeping miniature shetland pony
This sweetly napping pony is called Berendey.
It's a mini Shetty pony of the traditional size.

I truly believe no one can remain indifferent once having looked at a little sleeping furry pony. This is what I tried to capture in the sculpture. It's not only the visible picture, but also the emotions coming up in the moment.

I made it unbelievably cute!
You can feel it especially clearly when he's in your hands. He was created to attract attention, whether he's on a show-bench or in a collection.

* The sculpture in the photos is grey in color to show the details more clearly. The cast replicas of Berendey will be milky in color.
Berendey is Matryona's brother, that I sculptured in 2020. As a basis I took one of the copies and completely changed it. Despite they have the same position, they are very different in details.
I molded an absolutely new mane and a tail, also I completely changes the fur texture. Berendey's fur, unlike Matryona's, is thick and masculine. What makes him more masculine except his fur is his bushy mane that sticks out to different sides. They say a man should be slightly careless. So, Berendey fits it very much.

And of course the new face expression - a slightly opened mouth and sweetly popped aside lip.
Berendey as Matryona is a name from Russian folklore. Berendey, whose name appears in Zhukowski's and Ostrowski's tales is a mythological figure. The history of this folk hero goes deeply into the ancient ages.

Berendeys were native of Turkic tribes nomadizing in plains from XI till XIII centuries. The ancient slavic believed the hero was a magician and in the case of need could turn into a brown bear. I decided that this name matches very much as Berendey's appearence look a bit bear like though very cute.

As for Ostrowski's tale Tsar Berendey was a sage beloved by his people. The fairytale king personified the character and the national colour of Russian people.

CASTING:
Berendey is sold as unpainted and unprepped resin and is intended to be finalized by the owner\artist. All replicas will be supplied in art-quality white polyurethane resin. The kit will also include a certificate of authenticity indicating the number of your copy.

Any customization can be made to the copy.

The edition is limited to 120 copies.

Please note that castings are made to order and you may face a long waiting in line for your work. There is a significant limit to the number of pieces that can be produced per week, so the cycle of order processing, casting and shipping to a new home can take quite long.

UPD: The first copies will go to the owners in December and January.

RETURN AND REFUND:
Exchange are only possible if the item is damaged. Refunds are possible within a month after the receiving of the item.

Unpainted resins should be inspected for damage within 7 days of receiving them. If your product is damaged upon delivery, I will replace the model.

Please pack the damaged model in the original packaging and return it with the printed contents included within two weeks. Otherwise, you will be charged for the replacement item.
